Off-Site Carpet Cleaning
Area rugs have different cleaning requirements than wall-to-wall carpeting. Don’t let inexperienced cleaners treat your fine Oriental rugs or other area rugs with inappropriate in-home cleaning equipment.
About Oriental and Woven Area Rug Cleaning
The Bright Side has its own facility specifically for cleaning your area rugs, no matter if they’re precious heirlooms or more common pieces.
When we provide your free estimate for your area rug cleaning job, we’ll evaluate potential problems associated with any cleaning risks and whether or not certain types of stains or soiling can be corrected by cleaning or not.
When The Bright Side cleans your area rugs off-site in our facility, we typically expect a 10-day turnaround. This allows for a full, thorough cleaning of both sides of the rug, post-cleaning inspection, and re-cleaning if necessary. We also perform fringe cleaning and whitening when appropriate.
This process may be repeated several times for particularly troublesome stains or odors. We’ll let you know what to expect.
This time frame also includes the appropriate drying time and redelivery of your rugs.
Why Off-Site Area Rug Cleaning is Better
Tufted rugs – such as wall-to-wall carpeting – have hard, plastic backings. The equipment used to clean these rugs clean the top side only to prevent water from seeping through the carpet and into the padding and flooring beneath.
Woven rugs with no backing, or less defined backings, such as area rugs or fine Oriental rugs, require a more thorough washing service which cannot be done safely in a customer’s home.
The key to effective, proper cleaning of your area rugs is lots of water and expedited drying time—both of which are possible in our off-site facility. The result is cleaner, brighter, fluffier rugs with better longevity.
